First India, now Romania . . .

UK companies may soon be outsourcing their IT requirements to Romania, according to a report by IT market researchers Pierre Audoin Consultants.

The report says that the UK's use of India is largely driven by historical and cultural links, but that Romania has even cheaper labour costs and an abundance of well-educated and highly-skilled workers.

The average price for software development in Romania is around £100 per person per day.
