From boardroom to post room

Sir Digby Jones, Director-General of Britain's largest employers' organisation, the CBI, will be spending 24 March 2006 working in the post room rather than the rather more comfortable surroundings of the boardroom.

But his move downstairs is all in a good cause. His staff are sponsoring him to roll up his sleeves to sort through their letters and packages in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care's brand new initiative, Back to the Shop Floor.

And Sir Digby is encouraging other British managers to get behind Back to the Shop Floor to support the vital work of Marie Curie Nurses, who last year nursed more than 18, 000 people with cancer in their own homes.

If you are interested in taking part in the Back to the Shop Floor initiative – or want to putt your boss forward to get involved this March, please visit www.mariecurie.org.uk/backtoshopfloor or call 0800 716 146.
