The 80 best ideas from around the UK developed by student and graduate entrepreneurs – and not just where to find the cheapest pint or the best way to annoy the neighbours – are being showcased at an event in Cambridge from tomorrow.

The Flying Start event is being run by the National Council for Graduate Entrepreneurship and will take place at University of Cambridge's Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning from tomorrow (July 27) to Friday.

Ideas on display will include new design for a patient gown, online karting magazine, a new health drink, an engineering snagging system, an indoor skate park and the sale and rent of digital artwork.

"The tenacity and creativity shown by so many students and graduates is proof indeed that enterprise and entrepreneurial spirit is alive and kicking across the UK," said Flying Start director Lorna Collins.
